2023 Insurance & Risk Management Rotational Internship

Our 2023 Internship program will allow you to be exposed to a high-level, professional insurance office where you will engage in diverse and challenging work responsibilities supporting our Executive Team, top Sales Professionals, Client Service Managers and insurance carrier partners. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Engage in an interactive, rotational program where you will gain meaningful hands on experience in all the departments of the agency (Sales, Client Services, Marketing, Accounting, Claims, Loss Control, Surety and Employee Benefits)
- Work on a team of two to create an industry focused presentation for the Internship Competition, with a chance to win a $1,000 scholarship each
- Assist Client Service Managers and Sales Professionals with:
o Client analysis and research
o Follow along on sales calls and renewal meetings
o Involvement in claims process and meetings
o Follow along on loss control visits
o Miscellaneous clerical duties as needed to maintain adequate service to our insured’s, Client Service Managers and Sales Professionals
Education and Experience:
- The ideal candidate will be a Junior or Senior pursuing a bachelor’s degree

- Exceptional interpersonal skills: professional, personable and able to interact effectively with others and to respond appropriately in stressful situation and under deadlines
- Ability to work well with others in a team environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Computer literacy for correspondence, data entry, e-mail, Internet, spreadsheets and accessing data from company systems
- Dependability and promptness
- Good organizational and time-management skills
- Must be a self-starter and work well with moderate supervision
- Ability to establish and develop strong relationships with clients, carriers, trusted business partners and coworkers
- Business development and financial evaluation skill
Position Title: 2023 Insurance & Risk Management Rotational Internship          
Classification: Non-exempt
Reports To: Chris Rose Partner/Operations Manager              
Hours: Part-Time (30 hours/week) M-F 9:00am-4:00pm   
Location: Grand Junction Office-In Person                    
Compensation: $20/hour
Duration: 8 weeks June 5th to July 28th
