Stories of the Dolores: A Storytelling Event to Protect Our River and Canyon Country
Join us for an evening of storytelling to celebrate the Dolores River, its surrounding landscapes, and the people who love them. Four to five storytellers will share their personal stories of connection to the Dolores, ranging from adventures they've had to the importance of this landscape to their identity and heritage. This event is part of the Protect the Dolores Campaign, an effort to strengthen protections for the 500,000 acre Dolores River Canyon Country. Storytelling is one of our oldest mediums of communication, helping us to deepen connections and understanding of each other and the common ground that has helped shape so many of our identities and values. Come for the stories, stay for the community! This event is going to be attended by many like minded individuals who are passionate about public lands, waters, and our community. This event is free and family friendly. This is a unique opportunity to learn more about the Dolores River and its importance to our community through the stories of the people who love it most. We hope to see you there! Additional Information The event will be held outdoors, so please dress accordingly. Blankets and chairs are welcome. There is limited parking at Copper Club Brewing Co, so please allow extra time to find a spot. The event is free, but donations to the Protect the Dolores Campaign are encouraged. Please bring a camp chair just in case! We hope to see you there!
